Fleetworthy expands automated inspection-data transfers to five states

Fleetworthy announced that Expedited Inspection is now live in California, Michigan, Vermont and Maine, joining Nevada. The service automatically sends fleet, vehicle and electronic driver-log data to enforcement officers when a participating truck is selected for inspection.

Eligibility is limited to participating systems

The feature is available at no extra charge for Fleetworthy Weigh Station Bypass customers using supported Geotab or Platform Science ELDs. Additional states and integrations are planned. The company also introduced Inspect Queue for enforcement officers in all five states.

Understanding the update

This is an available commercial technology service in named states, not a nationwide inspection exemption or change to hours-of-service rules. Reported time savings are not guaranteed for every inspection.

What it means for drivers and carriers

Fleets on participating lanes should confirm ELD compatibility and activation procedures, and keep drivers trained on ordinary inspection and log-transfer requirements.

Questions to consider

  • Does the fleet's ELD support the feature?
  • Do drivers know what to do if an automated transfer fails?
