Class A truck driver jobs
Find a driving opportunity that fits your experience and life.
One short RoadHouse Recruiting application helps us understand your CDL, experience, location, safety history, route preference, home-time needs and availability before a recruiter discusses relevant carrier opportunities with you.
Compare route types
OTR, regional, local and dedicated driving jobs are different.
OTR jobs
Over-the-road positions commonly cover multiple regions and require longer periods away from home. Ask how home time is earned, scheduled and affected by freight location.
Regional jobs
Regional routes operate within a defined part of the country. “Regional” does not automatically mean home every weekend, so verify the actual schedule and operating area.
Local and dedicated jobs
Local roles may return daily, while dedicated accounts serve a specific customer or freight network. Stops, touch freight, shifts and start times can vary significantly.
Know before you commit
Compare the complete job—not only the headline pay.
- Pay structure: cents per mile, hourly, percentage, salary, activity pay, guarantees and applicable bonuses.
- Paid work: loaded and empty miles, stops, detention, layover, breakdown and training time.
- Schedule: days out, home-time policy, reset location, shift, weekends and holiday expectations.
- Equipment and freight: tractor assignment, trailer type, governed speed, touch requirements and load securement.
- Benefits and costs: insurance eligibility, retirement plan, paid time off and any driver-paid deductions.
Application readiness
Information a recruiter may need.
Accurate information helps avoid wasted calls and mismatched offers. Be ready to discuss your CDL class, endorsements, restrictions, recent driving experience, equipment background, current location, work history, safety record and preferred route type.
Questions worth asking
- What is the exact account or operating division?
- Which pay items are guaranteed and which depend on available freight?
- How many recent miles or hours support the advertised estimate?
- What are the written home-time and attendance policies?
- Which benefits are available, and when do they begin?
- What could disqualify an applicant before orientation?

Does applying guarantee a job offer?
No. Your application starts a recruiting conversation. Openings and qualifications vary, and the carrier makes the final hiring decision after completing its required review.

Can I apply if I am interested in more than one route type?
